Get rid of your leaf and yard waste for free during this special collection.

• Leaf and yard waste must be packaged in paper bags or in reusable containers and placed at the curbside by 7:00a.m.
• Plastic bags are not accepted.
• Bundle and tie branches; branches should not be longer than 4 feet, 2 inches in diameter.
• Grass clippings are accepted.

You can also bring your leaf and yard waste to the GFL Transfer Station for free any time of the year at 211 Corduroy Road, Vars.

The Saint-Jacques parish organizes a dinner and show. Funds raised will go towards restoration of the church's stoop and cloister.

$65 per ticket, including cocktail at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:15 p.m. and show at 8:45 p.m.

Several local talents are featured. Tickets are on sale at the parish office, from Ida Drouin (613-606-8285), Lucette Brisson (613-324-2203), Michel Dagenais (613-850-3129), Laurier Lemieux (613-859-2879) and at the presbytery (613-443-2817).

The Embrun parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and will go along Notre Dame Street from the Town Hall to the intersection of Notre-Dame and St-Augustin to end on Blais Street. The following streets will be closed for the duration of the parade (Notre Dame, St-Augustin, Centenaire west of St-Augustin, and Blais).
