The Community, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee (CDEIAC) invites the community to join them on March 8, 2026, for a women’s reflection workshop, networking and partnership circle. The event will take place at the Russell arena and features keynote speaker Dr. Bushra Khan.

This is 3.5-hour event celebrating women’s leadership and empowerment in our community as we celebrate International Women’s + Day. This afternoon gathering invites women and gender‑diverse residents to connect, learn and recharge together.
Expect warm hospitality, inspiring storytelling and practical leadership tools. Leadership coach Dr. Bushra Khan (https://leadingwithbk.com/) will explore (in English only) “The Science of Influence: Why Empathy Is Your Greatest Leadership Advantage,” followed by small‑group reflection circles and a networking session where your voice matters. We’ll also have refreshments, raffle prizes and space to share your business or professional cards.

1:00 p.m. – Registration, coffee/tea and light snacks
1:30 p.m. – Opening remarks and land acknowledgement from Councillor Lisa Deacon and Mayor Mike Tarnowski
1:45 p.m. – Keynote address (In English Only) by Dr. Bushra Khan, The Science of Influence: Why Empathy Is Your Greatest Leadership Advantage, followed by Q & A.
2:30 p.m. – Short break
