You are invited to the unveiling of the winning photographs from the 2024 Township of Russell Photo Expo! This exciting reveal will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Russell Fairgrounds.
You will find the Expo uin the Big Barn behind the Russell Arena at 1084 Concession Street in Russell.
Photo submissions will be on display from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We are thrilled to announce the official start of construction of the Russell Township Recreation Complex, a monumental $86 million project that marks a significant milestone in our community’s growth and development.
We invite all residents, community partners, and local organizations to join us in celebrating this exciting occasion. The press conference will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m. at 150 Sportsplex Street, in Embrun. Parking is available next to the Sports Dome with overflow parking behind Valoris.
This event is an opportunity to witness the beginning of a project that will greatly enhance the quality of life of our residents and provide a central hub for community activities and events.
Come and be part of this momentous event as we break ground on a project that will shape the future of our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

At the end of the day, bring any uncollected items back to your home. This event helps your items find a new home without going to the landfill. Don't forget to respect other people's property, do not walk on people's lawns and gardens, take only the treasures marked free at the curb, and don't discard previously picked-up treasures on another persons' lawn.

Climb aboard the bus with local historian Jean-Pierre Proulx for a historical tour of the village of Embrun. Discover the places and people that have left their mark on local history. Historic photographs will be shared with guests. Register here.
In partnership with Ontario Ancestors – Ottawa Branch
The tour begins and ends at the Embrun branch. An air-conditioned school bus is used for the tour. The bus is equipped with two wheelchair spaces.
