At the end of the day, bring any uncollected items back to your home. This event helps your items find a new home without going to the landfill. Don't forget to respect other people's property, do not walk on people's lawns and gardens, take only the treasures marked free at the curb, and don't discard previously picked-up treasures on another persons' lawn.

Get rid of your hazardous waste items at the municipal garage, located at 857 Route 400, Embrun from 8:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Due to the popularity of the event, we may reach capacity before 2:00p.m. The Ministry of Environment prohibits us from accepting any drop-offs after 2:00p.m., even if there are still participants waiting in line with their items.

Remember that at any time during the year, some local hardware stores accept hazardous products (Barry's Home Hardware at 120 Craig Street in Russell for residential paints and batteries, and Rona at 755 Notre-Dame in Embrun for residential paints and lightbulbs). Restrictions may apply. Please call these locations before bringing your products. For other locations throughout the year, visit Resource Productivity and Recovery or www.regeneration.ca.
